Do you prefer sleeveless, a short cap sleeve, a 3/4-length sleeve or a long sleeve? You can also make any view in a low-back or high-back version and add pockets to the dress.

Suggested fabrics: Knit fabric with at least 40% stretch and quick recovery. For a flowy, soft dress or tee, choose a fabric with rayon or bamboo content, in addition to spandex. For a more structured dress (and if you choose to add pockets) look for a mid-to-heavy weight fabric with at least 40% stretch and good recovery such as French terry, cotton jersey or ponte.

Negative ease is commonly used for knit fabrics that have more give and can stretch around your body comfortably. A negative ease garment will measure smaller than your actual body measurements, but will still stretch enough to fit you comfortably. The Stasia Dress and Tee has been designed with 4.25" (10.8 cm) of negative ease in the bust and no negative ease in the waist. Your fabric choice will have a huge impact on the fit. A fabric with a large amount of stretch will fit a bit more loosely, while one with less stretch will be more form fitting. The combination of fabric choice and your personal preference of how snugly you want the bodice to fit will determine what size to make.
Notions: Coordinating thread; clear elastic or knit stay tape for shoulder seams (optional); stretch needle for your sewing machine.
